I am a Project Researcher in Tokyo College at the University of Tokyo, and I completed a Ph.D. in Japanese sociocultural linguistics at Ohio State University in 2019. My research is concerned with the perception and production of fictionalized speech styles, and the relationship that these styles have with different personae in pop media.
